Our commitment
Goldfinch Grave Tending wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technologies. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Because grieving families and older users are core to who we serve, accessibility is treated here as part of good care, not a technical afterthought.
What we’ve done
- Semantic page structure with a logical heading order and landmarks.
- Descriptive alternative text on all meaningful photographs.
- Full keyboard operation: menus, before-and-after sliders (arrow keys), carousels and accordion questions.
- Visible focus outlines and a “skip to content” link on every page.
- Colour contrast that meets AA at body-text and control sizes.
- Animation reduced for people who prefer less motion, via their system settings.
- Form fields with persistent labels and plain-language error messages.
- All key tasks also available by phone and email, so no one is forced to use the web form.
Known limitations
Images are decorative where noted, but the before-and-after comparisons rely on sight to judge difference; descriptions of each result are provided in captions. If you find a barrier, we want to hear about it — and Vanessa is always happy to complete any task by phone instead.
